George J. Dodge, Naval (Airship) aviator, earned gold wings to serve in the U. S. navy in World War II from 1942045. His branch, “Lighter Than Air”, was “unique” and instrumental in keeping U. S. shipping lanes open and free of enemy submarines, thus contributing to the successful moving of men and supplies from our shores during the war. He became Lieutenant JG USNR.
