    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. David T. King Jr.

The honoree has devoted her professional life to teaching about Earth and space in a highly successful effort to inspire young people to appreciate the cosmos and our place in it. An honored and highly praised educator in Connecticut for over 25 years, the honoree continued her pursuit of Earth and space studies at several universities, including Wesleyan and Auburn, before founding Astra-Terra Research, a company devoted to teaching and research about astronomy and geology. During her graduate studies and while at Astra-Terra, she was co-author of numerous published studies on impact craters and their effects on Earth history. These studies included fieldwork in many regions including Central America, Brazil, southern Africa, Italy, Spain, and Germany, as well as in the U.S. The honoree was part of the team that discovered the first conclusive evidence for an extraterrestrial impact origin of Wetumpka crater, Alabama. Because of her unending enthusiasm for subjects that she loves, the honoree has been a personal source of inspiration for hundreds of former students and to those scientists with whom she has worked.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
