As a professional International ferry pilot, Lynn ODonnell was the 5th American woman to fly solo across the North Atlantic. From 1978-1980, she made 52 crossings, 33 in single-engine aircraft, using dead reckoning for navigation along the Great Circle route from Newfoundland to Ireland.
Lynn went on in her career to be a chief pilot, instructor, check airman, and airline captain (United Airlines). Type ratings include B-757/767, B-777, B-747-400, and DC-3. She holds an expert rating with the U.S. Parachute Association and has multiple state, national and world records in skydiving.
