    Enlisted as Aviation Cadet in Army Air Corps Sept. 10, 1943. Called to active duty Aug.10, 1944. Served as On Line Trainee until release from active duty on Nov. 25,1945.

    Returned to active duty as Aviation Cadet in 1947; completed flying school and commissioned Oct. 8, 1948. Flew all-weather/ night fighters F-82 and F-94 in CONUS and Alaska before going into the Airlift business flying C-54, C-124, and C-141 transport aircraft. In Viet Nam, flew 167 combat missions in O-l and U-17 with VNAF.

    Served as Aircraft Maintenance Officer/Staff Maintenance Officer for C-124 and C-141 aircraft, as Chief, Maintenance Analysts Division, Hq MATS, and as Aircraft Maintenance Staff Advisor to the VNAF Depot Chief of Maintenance.

    Overseas assignments included Ladd AFB and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; Hickam AFB. HI; Bien Hoa AB, Viet Nam.

    Awards include Bronze Star Medal and Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters.

    Education included BS in Airline Management at University of Illinois in 1956.

    Retired as Major, July 1967, to accept position as Aircraft Services Manager with the contractor at Wake Island.

    Attended University of Southern California Jan, 1970 – Aug, 1971 completing MS in Systems Management and MPA in Public Administration.

    Served with the Federal Government in Logistics positions for 26 years, retired Jan, 1998.
