February 1943 - at Davis Monthan Field appointed Operations Officer 578th Bombardment Squadron 392nd Bombardment Group.
August 1943 - 392nd arrives at Wendling AB, England.
November 1943 - appointed Commanding Officer 577th Bombardment Squadron.
May 1944 - Received Distinguished Flying Cross.
May 1944-Transferred to 95th Air Wing as Wing Operations Officer.
May 25th 1944 - Lost over England while monitoring aircraft.
May 1945 - Received letter of commendation and regret from Gen. Ira Eaker on behalf of Gen. Arnold who was away from Headquarters at the time.
