The top P-51 Mustang ace, Major Preddy destroyed 27 enemy aircraft in aerial combat. He destroyed five more on the ground.
Major Preddy was the leading active ace in the ETO when, on Christmas Day 1944, he was shot down by a friendly anti-aircraft battery.
George loved to fly, and he loved his country. He only wanted to help win WWII. He did just that!
