I flew 43 combat missions in China in a Curtis P-40. When I returned from China I was assigned to Wright Field, Dayton, OH as a test pilot. I flew 56 different prop driven planes as such. After retirement I flew for FAA as a flight Inspector helping maintain the Airway System. I was a copilot on a B-17 when in the Air Force which dropped bombs from 18,000 to 40,000 feet to establish bomb tables.
