    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Major Lister flew two tours of combat, one in World War II and one in Korea. In both wars he was forced to bail out on his first mission. He walked out of enemy territory in China in World War II. In Korea he was one of the first casualties of the war, going down in the China Sea on the first day of the war. He was eventually picked up by a Korean fisherman who held him at gunpoint thinking he was Russian. He was the only crew member who escaped alive.

Completing twenty-one years in the Air Force, he retired to teach economics in college.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
