    Major Henry Clay Bozarth, "Hank," completed 63 missions in the European Theatre of War, serving in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 and after the war as a reservist where he achieved the rank of Major. As a pilot, Henry flew many missions in the famous "Flak Bait," the B-26 bomber which flew and survived 202 missions. His picture with his crew is posted by the nose section of Flak Bait in the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Henry received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Presidential Citation, Air Medal with 11 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the European, African, and the Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze stars.

    After service he earned his Bachelor of Arts, Masters Degree, and PhD in Education from the University of Texas. He taught in the Texas Independent School District, and was an elementary school principal with the San Angelo, Texas School District. He was a professor at both East Texas State College and University of Texas at Austin before becoming the Director of Elementary Education in the Port Arthur School District in 1962.

    Moving to Las Vegas in 1964 he was hired as Director of Education for the Clark County School District and later became the curriculum coordinator for this district from which he retired in 1988.
