    Honored by:

    Served with Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. Received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Colorado and a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1951. Spent twenty years in the Air Force Reserve.

    Spent five years as research engineer with the RAND Corporation, Santa Monica California and 31 years as research engineer with the Boeing Commercial-Airplane Company, Seattle, Washington. Served as chief engineer of technology for two short take-off and landing experimental airplanes designed and built for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the C-8A Buffalo Augmentor Wing and the Quiet Short-haul Research Airplanes (QRSA).
