    Served in the Air Force from 1939-1946. Shot down in the Philippines Dec. 7th, 1941 and received the Purple Heart and other citations. He was also an original member of the Tracking and Ground Instrumentation Unit attached to the First NASA Space Task Group at Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. In 1958 Mr. Donegan was one of the Designers of the original Manned Space Flight Network. His responsibilities for real time computing services at Goddard Range as far back as the Alan Sheppard sub orbital flight of July, 1960 and Gemini and Apollo Flights.
