    “Brad” graduated from the University of MD, College Park with honors in 1943 and a bachelor of science degree. In January, 1941 while at the University of MD , he earned his civilian pilots wings at the Brinkerhoff Fling School.
    He was commissioned in May 1943 at Marianna, Florida and received his pilots wings. As a result of an accident, Brad was hospitalized from September, 1943 until May of 1944 – too late for action in WWII.
    He flew 102 combat missions in P-51 and F-80 jet aircraft while with the Eighth Fighter Group in Korea in 1950 and 1951 and was awarded the DFC and Air Medal. Brad retired as a Command Pilot in 1964 after twenty-two years of active service.
