    ANNOUNCEMENT OF RETIREMENT - In accordance with DAF S. 0. AB 3803, dated 24 May 1961, announcement is made of the retirement of MAJOR MYRON R. SEES, A0889167, Project Officer, Specialized Aircraft Modification Section, Maintenance and Modification Branch, Special Procurement, Directorate of Systems Support, Aeronautical Systems Center (AMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, after 20 years, 6 months and 20 days of Active Military Service, effective 30 June 1961.
    MAJOR SEES was born in Jerseytown, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1921. He enlisted on 26 November 1940 and was commissioned a 2D Lieutenant on 5 June 1944. He has been on continuous active duty since 30 March 1953. Through-out his career Major Sees has served as Pilot, Liaison, 7th Liaison Sqdn, Donaldson AFB, South Carolina; Flight Commander, 17th Troop Carrier, Sqdn (M) and Commander, 4501st HEDSUPPRDN, Donaldson AFB, South Carolina. Major Sees served in Germany as Pilot, Troop Carrier, 10th TC Sqdn (M), Assistant Operations Officer, 10th TC Sqdn (M), Pilot TE, Cargo, VIP Transportation, 7167 AT Sqdn (M), Special Missions, Aircraft Maintenance Officer and Pilot, 7167 AT Sqdn (M) Special Missions. Since 19 November 1958, Major Sees has been assigned to the Aeronautical Systems Command, (AMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
    MAJOR SEES has been awarded the following awards and decorations: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal (2 0LC), Air Force Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (l Clasp), American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award w/4 0LC, Air Force Reserve Medal. He has also received the Presidential Unit Citation and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
    Through-out his long and honorable career, MAJOR SEES has displayed a high order of initiative, ability, resourcefulness and devotion to duty. The Division extends best wishes for a happy period of retirement to MAJOR SEES.
