    Ms. Gloria Mc Ginnis

Raymon enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1939, went from private to sergeant and was on weekend leave on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941.
In a matter of weeks he was on a troop train to the West Coast; and then on a troop ship to the South Pacific, where he remained for three years. He survived many strafings from pilots of Japanese planes, but almost died of malaria. Later he attended Officers Training School and retired in 1961 with the rank of Major. During the Korean War, he survived being stabbed while acting as a courier by an East Germany spy.
