While serving in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard for 22 years, accrued over 5000 hours an all models of the Lockheed C-130, including as a member of the first Air National Guard unit to fly the C-130 on the “Ice Cap, Greenland.
Received the Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters while participating in aerial flight in Vietnam, 1965-1966.
Retired as a Captain with United Airlines after 32 years of service, and accrued more than 12,000 hours in the Boeing 727.
