Major Timothy A. Smith retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 2010 with 28 years of service. Tim is married to his best friend, Csilla. Tim and Csilla have two children and one grandchild. Tim enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Port Securityman in 1982 and later transferred to the Ohio National Guard as a Tank Crewman while attending college and Army ROTC. He was commissioned as an Army Reserve Second Lieutenant in 1986. During his Army career, he acquired three branches: Military Police, Aviation and Military Intelligence. Tim is an Army Pilot rated in the UH-1 “Huey”, OH-58, and the AH-64 “Apache” and has a Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Tim served in Bosnia and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Csilla is an accountant and an avid military and aerospace supporter. Tim and Csilla enjoy supporting their local church, hiking, camping, boating, snow skiing, travelling and flying.
