During World War II, I Served in the European Theater with the 82nd A/B Division thru-out the War as a para-trooper, this included the Normandy Invasion.
Following the war, I continued to serve with the 82nd A/B Division at Fort Bragg, NC. During this period, I attended several flight schools ending up as a SENIOR ARMY AVIATOR. I was qualified in both fixed wing [ single and multi-engine ] and rotorcrafthelicopter.
Later I servered in the Korean war as a HELICOPTER LIAISON PILOT with the 1st Transportation Aviation Battalion, US Army.My duties , included, medical evacuation, troop transport, resupply, etc. In addition I was Senior Advisor to the Korean Army for aircraft maintenance. Also I served briefly as the Battalion Commander.
