    Honored by:
    Mr. Scott Buettner

Warren Buettner joined the Army Air Forces in the midst of the Second World War. He piloted the Martin B-26 Marauder, including, on occasion, "Flak-Bait" which is currently on display at the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center. He flew bombers in Europe and America after the war, transferring to the U.S. Air Force when that service was formed. He amassed over 12,000 flying hours, and continued to fly in civilian life working as a private transport pilot.
