    Mr. Albert J. Norway Jr.

In 1943 Lt. Al Norway was already 23 years old when he earned his wings at the USAAF’s DARB Aero Tech Inc. in Albany, GA. He had ben a mailman in Chicago, IL. Later during Advanced Training, his CO told him to “stop putting his name on Fighter Lists or he would be Court-martialed”. Al presumed that he was perhaps one of the “oldest Air Force Instructor Pilots in WW II history.”
Al’s training, Pilots instructing and various flying assignments for 21 years in our Ari Force Reserves, resulted hi his amassing 7,500 hrs. of flight time in 16 military aircraft. Post Air Force, Al served with NASA and Finished his great aviation career as a Senior Inspector for the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, DC.
