In WWII, he flew C-47s over The Hump. In Korea, he flew B-29s from Okinawa to North Korean targets. His peacetime assignments included service at Edwards AFB where he was involved in test flying various aircraft. He closed out his career maintaining jet trainers for student pilots flying at Del Rio, Texas.
