    Received wings in December, 1963, in Pensacola, Florida.

    Received the Sikorsky S for lifesaving in 1964 for flying the H-34 into a snowstorm to pick up a little girl and deliver her to a hospital on Peloponnesus.

    First E4 Corporal in the Marines.

    Instructor of the Year in 1968 for helicopter training.

    During the Vietnam War, flew the Sikorsky Seahorse H-34D in 1966-67 and the KC-130F in 1969-70.

    Awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses in 1966 and 1967. Received a Purple Heart in 1967 for being injured during flight.

    Acting Colonel and CO of El Toro AFB at retirement.
