Dr. Daniel L. Nation is a former Marine (68-77) and retired Air Force officer (83-95). His aerospace industry career included engineering and management assignments on the AGM-88 HARM, LGM-118 Peacekeeper, Defense Support Program (DSP), Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, F/A-18CD Hornet, U-2S Dragon Lady, C-130J Hercules, and most recently the F-35 Lightning II. Dr. Nation also worked briefly as a safety engineer at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center on a variety of experimental programs. He is now retired from the aerospace industry and spends his time teaching for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he has been an adjunct professor since 2002. Dr. Nation became a full time faculty member for Ashford University in 2012.
