    Major Frederick C. Bravo, born April 13, 1970 in Honolulu, HI, graduated from Cooper HS, Abilene, TX in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in Spanish from the United States Air Force Academy.
    Major Bravo attended missile training at Vandenberg AFB. He arrived at Malmstrom AFB in October ‘92, where he performed 191 alerts with the 564 Missile Squadron. He was awarded the prestigious 20 AF Crew Member Excellence Award reserved for the top 20% of missileers. In July ‘96 he began Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, graduating from Training Squadron 31, NAS Corpus Christi, in September ‘97. He arrived at Dyess AFB, in April ‘98 flying the C-130E/H with the 39 Airlift Squadron (AS) flying missions for Operations FLOWING PEN, a Joint Chiefs of Staff directed counter drug operation in South America, JOINT GUARD, an international peace keeping mission to Kosovo and PALMETTO GHOST, a Special Operations Forces insertion mission. In August ‘01 he began T-1A Pilot Instructor Training at Randolph AFB, graduating in December ‘01. He reported to the 32 Flying Training Squadron Vance AFB, in January ‘02 instructing students in the T-1A. He returned to Dyess AFB, in May ‘03 as the Chief of Inspections and Exercises for the 317 Airlift Group leading them to an outstanding performance during their Operational Readiness Inspection. In May ‘04 he joined the 40 AS as ADO where he supported Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM leading combat crews as the DO for the 746 EAS Salem AB, Kuwait. He also commanded 9 medical/evacuation and humanitarian missions for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In 2007 he reported to the 457 AS Andrews AFB, as ADO supporting Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN. In January ‘11 he deployed to Al Udeid AB, Qatar as the Chief of DV Plans and Execution, Airlift Control Team, Air Mobility Division, 609 Air and Space Operations Center.
    Major Bravo is a senior pilot with over 2500 hours in the C-130, T-1A and C-21. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit award with Valor, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
    Major Bravo is married to the former Amy Marshall of Hagerstown, MD.
