    A career Air Force officer, who served in World War II and Korea. He flew the Berlin Airlift. He was a member of the 307th Bomb Wing stationed at Lincoln, Nebraska. He was killed at age 39 while on active duty, when the B47 on which he was the instructor crashed during an ATO takeoff at Lincoln Air Force Base on October 8, 1959.
