Graduate, United States Air Force Academy -- 1964. Served honorable career as an Air Force combat pilot (Vietnam), operational test pilot, instructor pilot and fighter pilot. Served on the A-10 Thunderbolt II Operational flight Test Team, Air Force Systems Command.
Developed and tested the Mask-10A combat paint and coating system, used on U.S. and Allied aircraft worldwide. Served as Chief of Operations, Chief of Safety and Chief of Quality Control during career.
Retired as a command pilot and continued aerospace career as senior engineer for General Electric Aircraft Engines Company. Awarded 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses and 13 Air Medals.
