    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Peggy Doole did not fly, launch missiles, or work with communications systems, but in the very best role as an Air Force wife she supported a husband who did. Because of her interest in the Air Force and Bill's role in the Civil Air Patrol she was an active member of his squadron and played a key role in providing publicity for the Vandenberg Composite Squadron 101. There never was an activity in which she did not participate, again supporting her husband as he led the squadron.

When Bill and Peg flew a light airplane, she was in the right seat providing co-pilot support and enjoying their time together.

Her role with the Air Force was accented by her love of art history. While stationed in Washington, DC she was a docent at the Hirshhorn Museum and National Gallery of Art. She chaired art history groups of Air Force families and led several tours to major art museums in Europe. Many people say they now love art because of Peg.
