    MARK SAUNDERS USAF AAL

Mark began his flying career when he was accepted into the Air Force Academy. After graduating with the class of 1976, he attended pilot training at Craig AFB in Selma, Alabama. He had the honor of flying the last student sortie before military cutbacks forced the closing of the base. In his 12 years with the Air Force, Mark flew the F-4E Phantom and instructed in the OV-10 Bronco.

After leaving the Air Force, Mark was hired at American Airlines. During his 30 year career there he flew the 727, 757/767, 777, and checking out as a captain on the venerable 737. He retired as an International captain on the 777. He still has a love for flight and is now mentoring other young pilots.
