His interest in aviation and space began in early childhood. He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Aeronautics at Imperial College in London (UK) in 1992. Thereafter spent four years building up Aerospace R and D capability in Singapore. He is currently a PhD (Aero) candidate at Stanford, researching into Aerospace Design Optimization.
