Matt Ryan soloed in a Curtis Jenny in 1919. Founded the airport out of a cornfield in Marshall, Minnesota in 1933 and was subsequently named Ryann field. The airport trained many WWII pilots under CPT/WTS.
He ended his career as Director of Secondary Airports for the Airports Commission in Minneapolis/ St. Paul.
