Melvin L. Parshall 1928 to 2002
Melvin Parshall was Airport Manager at Grimes Field from 1928 to 1987 and from 1994 to 2002. He was also Chief Pilot for Grimes Manufacturing for many years. Melvin was responsible for seeing that Grimes Field got a new runway, fuel tanks, automated weather and many other improvements to upgrade the airport.
He taught many students to fly over the years. He was considered a friend to all who knew him.
