Michael C. Harrison was employed by Teledyne Microwave, 1971 - 1994, and in those twenty-three years at Teledyne, he was promoted from Program Manager to Director to Vice President of the Hi-Rel (High Reliability) Space Programs.

Michael's programs included responsibility for Teledyne Microwave hi-rel switches, communication devices used in the Space Shuttles and in major satellites such as TEDRIS (Tracking & Data Relay Satellite). One of their key contributions to NASA's Space Program was the invention of a switch that enabled multi-directional communications, a capability not available during the first space flights. He also belonged to the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics during his years at Teledyne.

Michael received recognition from a broad spectrum of his colleagues. Most notable were:
1980 - from Teledyne Microwave - for accomplishments as Program Manager of the TRW Subcontract for the Tracking & Data Relay Satellite
1981 - from the crew of Columbia - for contributions to the First Manned Orbital Flight of the Space Shuttle
1983 - from NASA - attended the April launch of the Space Shuttle as NASA's guest
1989 - from Texas Instruments (Tom Howes) - for contributions to their Satellite Program
