A passionate and dedicated aviation expert, Michael Evan Korens, 57, left this world unexpectedly on March 1, 2020. Mike graduated with honors from Rollings College and earned his law degree at the Georgetown Law School. He served on the U.S. Senate Aviation Subcommittee and was instrumental in federal legislation reforming the Federal Aviation Administration and creating a new role for the National Transportation Safety Board to assist aviation accident victims and their families. Later in his career, he was a valued aviation consultant and worked with notable clients including FedEx, Aireon, Emirates, Northwest Airlines, JetBlue, Virgin Atlantic, NavCanada, Quantas, Space-X, and the Orlando and Denver airports, among others.

Mike's life was characterized by his deep sense of honor and absolute integrity. He displayed an uncommon kindness and generosity of spirit to all who were lucky enough to know him.
