    Mike Hirschberg received a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1991 and a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from Catholic University of America in 1996. He has worked for the Department of the Navy, Aerojet GenCorp, ANSER, and CENTRA Technology. He has provided Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Air Force, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Projects have included the F-22 Raptor, the X-32 and X-35, the Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV), and other advanced aircraft programs.
    Mr. Hirschberg is extremely active with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the American Helicopter Society (AHS). He is the managing editor of the AHS Vertiflite magazine and frequent author and lecturer on advanced aircraft and propulsion systems. He serves on several boards and committees, seeking to preserve aeronautical history.
