It was through a twist of fate and a clipped-out advertisement for a far-away technical school that Michael “Mike” Gallas became an A&P mechanic, a helicopter pilot, and a long-standing proponent of The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and its mission.
Today, after more than two decades in aviation with such venerable airlines as Eastern, World, Continental and UPS, Mike still demonstrates a passion for aviation and a love for all types of aircraft.
An aircraft maintenance supervisor for UPS at Newark-Liberty Airport, Mike lives in High Bridge, New Jersey.
