Michael graduated in 1969 from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering. He served his country from 1970 – 73 in the U. S. Marine Corps; he was honorably discharged as a Captain. During his career he worked as a flight test engineer for McDonnell Douglass, Bel Helicopter, General Dynamics and finally Teledyne _Ryan of San Diego, CA. Teledyne was acquired by Northrup Grumman at the time of his death. He was the Chief Pilot of the Global Hawk. Michael was a life-long aviation enthusiast.
