Miracle Flights for Kids is a nonprofit organization that coordinates free air transportation for seriously ill children and their families who need to access specialized medical care far frcm home.
Ann McGee founded Miracle Flights for Kids in 1985, under the name of Angel Planes, Inc., upon seeing a tremendous need in the community for utilizing air transportation to access specialized medical care. She began by organizing a small handful of pilots to transport blood, and later patients, to distant facilities. Since then, under her guidance, the organization has grown to one of national scope providing access to specialized medical care for seriously ill children across America through aviation.
Miracle Flights is the leading flight organization providing free access to medical care. The organization has provided more than 28,000 free flights, accruing more than 10.5 million miles of access to specialized medical care. More than forty percent of the referrals received by Miracle Flights come from other flight organizations that have fewer resources and are unable to answer the requests.
