Mr. Albert Joseph Swiston
The late Albert Alexander Swiston began his life-long interest in aviation by building airplanes at the Martin Marietta plant in Middle River, MD in 1937. In the early 1940s he proudly served his country in World War II (WWII). Upon returning from Europe he worked in all aspects of aircraft production at the Martin plant.
The opening of the National Air and Space Museum (Washington, DC) in 1976 made him proud of US aviation and his personal contributions to the defense of our country.
