?»?Charles William Brown, Jr. was born in Tallahassee, FL in 1919, but lived most of his life in Texas. He was the son of Dr. & Mrs. Charles Brown,Sr. Charles died in 2009 at the age of 89.
Charles Brown graduated with honors from Texas A&M with a degree in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He joined the U.S. Army on graduation and served as a Captain in the Intelligence Signal Corp at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska.
Charlie received his pilot's license in Beaumont, Texas in 1940. He flew the beautiful skies over the
rugged terrain of the Alaska Territory, before it was even a state.
Charles met Margaret Hamilton of Portland, Oregon
during WWII in Alaska. They married in 1944 and
had 4 children, and later 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Charlie was a wonderful family
man, loved by all who knew him. He was dedicated to
his family, his country and helping those in need.
This memorial is sponsored by his third grandchild,
Robert F. Scheu, Jr., who is also an avid pilot and flight instructor.
