During WWII, Clarence Hoover served in the US Navy as a flight instructor. For his 70th birthday he was given an airplane ride as a gift. Once in the air, the pilot gave him the controls, and although he had not flown in years, he could still perform loops. (September 15. 1923 – April 7, 2002)
