Mr. Campbell's career as an aerospace engineer spans more than 40 years starting after graduation from Ohio University in 1958 and extending until retirement from the Boeing Company in 1999. His primary work was in airframe structures performing strength analyses and related activities. The C-17 Globemaster III airplane, on which he worked for over 15 years, was his most significant project.
His interests extend to aerospace history and to space flight and exploration. Mr. Campbell is a senior member of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
