Born 1923, DeMoines, IA. Graduated North High School 1941. Attended Iowa State 1941-1943, 1946-1947 Military Service 1943-1945 Pilot-Captain-B-24 Commander WWII CBI Theater of Ops (Bombing and Hump Flights), DFC and 2 Air Medals.
BS AeroEngr Iowa State December 1947. Licensed Commercial Pilot.
Employed by Solar Aircraft through 1950, then Boeing Wichita through 1987 (B-47 test pilot 1952-1954. Aerodynamics Engr – performance analysis, pilots’ handbook data, accident investigation, proposal preparation for new business). Retired November 1987.
Hobbies: Model airplanes (Academy of Model Aeronautics Member), soaring (Soaring Society of America Member, Experimental Aircraft Association Member).
