Dallas Wicke was born on November 18, 1940 in Atwood, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1962 with a B.S. Aerospace Engineering degree, then received an M.S. Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Southern California in 1968. Dallas was elected to the honor societies Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Tau, and Sigma Gamma Tau. He is a Senior Member of AIAA. Mr. Wicke's career has covered flight mechanics, aerodynamics, guidance and control, systems analysis, technical direction, and management. He holds four patents for missile systems with innovative guidance and control techniques. His career with Douglas, McDonnell Douglas, and The Boeing Company has included involvement in various launch vehicle and ballistic missile defense programs including Delta, Spartan, Site Defense, Strategic Defense Initiative, and National Missile Defense.
