While serving in the Navy during the Korean War, flew PBM and P5M Sea Planes. This was 1951 through 1954. Also has flown private planes all through the years; owning single engines and twin engines.
Has been and is a founding member of the American Air Museum in Britain.
Has always loved anything concerning aviation and planes.
