After a brief World War II stint with the US Navy in Aviation Ordnance I worked for North American Airlines on the B-45, the Army's 1st 4-engine jet. Worked as a toolmaker on several fighters, then worked on the AJ-2P -- the Navy's first atomic bomb carrying bomber. Then was instrumental in building the masters and assembly tooling for the A35 Vigilante, the Navy's first jet designed to carry the atomic bomb.
Finished up my career at Rocketdyne building the tooling necessary for the space engines for our early space craft.
