Served in USAF from May 1963 to August 1968. Graduated from Officer Training School, Class 64A. Served with the 31st Tactical Fighter Wing, Homestead, FL from August 1963 to July 1967. During that time was assigned to the 307th Tactical Fighter Squadron on temporary duty at Bien Hoa AB, Republic of Vietnam from June 1965 to November 1965. Served as Commander, 6217th Security Police Squadron at Ching Chuan Kang AB, Rep. of Taiwan from August 1967 to August 1968. Highest rank achieved was Captain. Received Air Force Commendation Medal for service in Vietnam.
