    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Aviation has been a major part of Harry Miller’s life. He first took flying lessons and earned his private pilot certificate while a student at Iowa State University. After graduation he became a U.S. Air Force pilot and flew KC-135 “tankers” for 5 years (and upgrading to commercial pilot with instrument and multiengine ratings).
He then combined his engineering education with his aviation background and became an airport engineer leading ultimately to becoming the State of Iowa Aviation Director.
Mr. Miller’s leadership and strong relationship with aviation industry interests in Iowa have led to the development of a first-rate airport system and an aviation industry that the state can count on to serve its air transportation needs into the 21st century.
