Mr. Harris Baker Blackwell, Jr. has been flying airplanes for almost thirty years. After taking flying lessons at the Baltimore Air Park in Perry Hall, Maryland, he formed a partnership with a few fellow pilots (Mr. William J. Stang and Mr. Jeff Austin) and bought a Piper Cherokee 180, N5212L, which they have kept at Martin State Airport. J. Langenfelder and Sons in Baltimore, and most recently, American in Baltimore. His range of aircraft include the Beechcraft King Air 200, the Fairchild F-27, the Citation II and the HDC - 8.
Harris Blackwell has resided in Baltimore since birth, March 29, 1949, and he is married to Brenda Gail (Walker) Blackwell. Together they have one daughter, Nicole Jennifer Blackwell, and two Cocker Spaniels, Madeline and Dobie. When not in the air, Harris Blackwell works at his business, Blackwell Auto Body, in Baltimore. He has greatly enjoyed the opportunities he has had and continues to have as a pilot, and he is proud to be a member or the National Air and Space Museum.
