Mr. Adam W. Kobulnicky

Henry “Hank” Kobulnicky began his career in aviation at the flight school of Ohio State University. He went on to become Purdue University’s chief flight instructor and built his own Midget Mustang to fly around the country.
After marrying his bride Celeste, he moved to Chicago and started with United Air Lines in 1969 as the flight engineer on 707s and 727s. He spent the majority of his 32 years career on the 737, eventually becoming a Captain. He finished his last 7 years at United as Captain on the 757/67 and retired at age 60 in August 2001.
Hank continues to fly in his own twin Commanche and maintains his Flight Instructor certificate so that he can train others to follow in his footsteps.
He still lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife Celeste. They raised three sons who live in different states across the country. All remain frequent visitors to the NASM.
