Born in Okayama, Japan in 1957. Majored in aeronautics at the University of Tokyo. Worked for Mitsui Shipbuilding and Engineering doing aerodynamic research on naval architecture and bridge from 1982 to 1986. Joined Honda R & D in 1986 as an aerodynamics engineer doing research on airframe and then corporate research on business aviation industry and market through 1999. Involved in technical administrative task from 1999 and on, and currently in charge of the administration at Honda R & D America’s Fundamental Research Laboratories at its Silicon Valley Office.
