Mr. Harry joined the Air Force Aviation Cadets in March, 1942 and was assigned to the 9th AF, 441 Troop Carrier Group, 99th Squadron in the European Theater of Operations. He was discharged in December 1945 and entered Purdue University graduating in June, 1948 with a B.S. in Astro/Aeronautical Engineering.

He joined Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in the Aviation Products Division in August 1948 as a Sales Engineer and was promoted to Sales, Marketing, and Product Support Manager in 1970. In 1980, he became Director, World Wide Sales, Marketing and Product Support. One of his major accomplishments during his time at Goodyear was the introduction of carbon as the revolutionary material to replace steel brake discs which first flew on the F-15 on July 27, 1972. The F-16, F-14, Canadair CL600, and Gulfstream V we the next to use the carbon brakes. All aircraft use carbon brakes now. He also introduced the first all transistorized brake control system on the B-58. All new aircraft that followed used this idea.
